Junior Podwalk

An interactive walking tour for children aged 8 to 14 through Hellevoetsluis. Guided by Jan Blanken, walkers explore the important historical sites and learn about the history of Hellevoetsluis.

Museum Fortresse Holland

All about stories of the sea with an interactive game where you learn how a compass works. You can build with kapla and do all kinds of other educational and fun things.

Pirates' Beach

For the children, there is playground equipment here and, of course, the pirate boat. You can also admire the beautiful Hellevoetsluis Lighthouse from the beach. It is a cosy beach but has everything you need to enjoy the sun and the sea.

Oostvoornse Meer (Lake)

Surfing, supping, diving, sailing. On the Brielse or Oostvoornse Meer (Lake), the Grevelingenmeer, or on the beach, you can be wonderfully active on the water and even take lessons. Snacks and drinks on the cosy terraces are a perfect match!

Aseal seal sanctuary

At Aseal in Stellendam, you can learn all about seals and see the seals being cared for here. Want to spot seals in the wild? That is possible at many places in the area.

Tenellaplas visitor centre in the middle of the Voorne dune area

You can easily fill a day at this Zuid-Hollands Landschap visitor centre. In the centre, you will find all kinds of kid-friendly information. And outside, there is a wide choice of themed routes for toddlers to older kids. Along the way, you can stop at one of the restaurants and cafés.
